4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope[a] at your calling— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.
This scripture is one that has been speaking to me for some time. Sometimes we have difficulty realizing just how much of God is in absolutely everything.
First, we realize his Godship. God is above all and we are His humble servants. As I have noted before, many do not like the word servant, but this is what we become when we come to Christ. We are bound to Christ and His.
However, He is not some harsh taskmaster. No, He is in all that we have going on. There beside us, lifting us up and making the way clear. He is not just in all that we are doing, he is in all others are doing as well. He brings all things together for the greater good.
And He is through all, in that we can do all things through Christ who is in us. Thus, we can view the world, our circumstances and all that it going on through the eye of Christ who gives us strength.
Thus, as we can see clearly how God is above all, in all and through all.
