4 He will cover you with his feathers;
you will take refuge under his wings.
His faithfulness will be a protective shield. (Psalm 91:4 CSB)

The world and situation can leave us feeling vulnerable and alone. We may be encountering job, financial, relational or health issues which further erode any sense of security or peace.

But so much of scripture is dedicated to making sure that we know we are not alone.

Our scripture today give us a beautiful visual regarding how God comes to us and covers us. How we have a refuge under His protection and a shield against our true enemy.

Yes, we may encounter rough periods and life may also be taken from us. But our eternal hope and home can never be taken away.

Probably the hardest part of internalizing God’s protection and concern for us comes from His unseen nature. Yet, if we look closely and open ourselves to the wonder of His creation around us, He is truly not unseen. His wonders are both around us and within us, we have only to look to find them.

We are never truly alone.
