18 Therefore the Lord is waiting to show you mercy,
and is rising up to show you compassion,
for the Lord is a just God.
All who wait patiently for him are happy. (Isaiah 30:18 CSB)

Patience is not something I was gifted with. I must work hard at being patient and even then I do not always do so well.

We have become an instant gratification society. Everything comes to us quickly and often right to our door step. Everything is “On Demand”, just like our movies.

Luckily, God is ever patient with us. And when we are patient to wait on Him he rewards us with happiness. But, does he do this through giving us our desire necessarily? No. What He teaches us in our patience is to rest in Him and no matter the outcome we can find happiness in knowing that God’s hand is at work.

No this may not be easy, but the reward is worth the waiting.
