13 each one’s work will become obvious. For the day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire; the fire will test the quality of each one’s work. 14 If anyone’s work that he has built survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned up, he will experience[a] loss, but he himself will be saved—but only as through fire. (1 Corinthians 3:13-15 CSB)
Laying a strong foundation is imperative if we want a structure to endure.
The same is true for us. We too need a strong structural foundation based in the Word if we hope for our works to survive.
Regardless, we are assured that we ourselves will be spared, but how much better to leave a foundation that endures in God’s name after we are gone.
Thus, each day we should strive to work with the scriptural foundations the Spirit lays within us. Building upon this day by day so that each opportunity presented to us by God is taken with a humble gratitude that then builds others up. Helping to lay strong foundations in others lives.
