Actions speak louder than words.

We have heard this old maxim over and over and we know it to be true. People may say anything but how they act displays their truth.

Sadly we see this played out continually in the media, in governments, in corporations. We all want to say the right things, but we do not want to go to the hard work of acting upon our words. It takes effort to keep our words and our deeds in lock step. This is something that scripture tells us we must do to live out the life God set before us. We may pray the right prayers, read the right devotionals and skim our bibles for truth. But our actions often betray us.

If we are to allow our actions to speak as loudly that we are perfectly aligned with The Word then we must begin today to correct our actions. We must make ourselves one with scriptural truth as much as is possible. Striving always to seek Christ first.

Then our words and our deeds will be a light upon a hill.
