13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. 14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
What is it that you want? What are you striving for? What is your greatest desire?
God knows all of these things, and He knows everything that we truly need beyond our current state of wants and desires. This knowledge extends from where we are now all the way through eternity. He also knows our struggles and can and will see us through.
Our scripture today tells us a lot about God’s nature. It takes us through His watchfulness, displays His human understanding and points us through His ability to keep us steadfast and strong. There is truly nothing about us or our journey that God does not understand. We may see Him as this distant figure who must not understand our situation, but through Jesus time on earth, He has a full understanding.
Even when our desires do not align with God’s, He is working life to His good will and seeking to give us our desires.
Reflect on: Your understanding of just how well God understands your situation.
