16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God[a]may be complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)
We are not complete without God’s instruction. And God’s instruction comes, predominately, through the scriptures.
There are schools in life we all go through. In our formative years we are educated in primary schools. There are also school that many of us went through from our parents in our upbringing. Then we may head off to college or some other school of higher form of learning. Many of us gained our technical or professional education, like I did, mainly on the job. Suffice it to say, we are offered many potential forms of being taught if we are open to the opportunity.
Scriptures are another really good source of training and education. We are given every form of God given insight into how to live this life through them. Many good commentaries exist as well for us to draw upon others interpretation of scriptural meaning. This, and reading different translations can further our understanding of exactly what God is saying to us.
To be sure, scripture was given to us so that we could be complete and equipped for every good work.
