³⁶ Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.” (1 Samuel 17:36 ESV)

At times, when facing a new obstacle in life we forget that God has already moved mountains for us in the past. We do not stand strong because we are trying to stand on our own and not upon the rock of Christ. We are trying to do live ourselves.

If we take a moment and look back, we can often see that God has given us victory after victory and we have nothing to fear. God is good to us, yesterday, today and tomorrow. To Him our entire lives are happening now, in this moment, and He knows the outcome of every battle. He knows that which is giving us the most issue in life. He is already aware of our needs before we speak them. He is omnipresent and omnipotent.

We need only take life this moment at a time. We need not allow the past to bear upon us or the future to concern us. We need to live in this moment that God has given us and live it the best we can for Him.
