In The Heavens Above

1 The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above[a] proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge. (Psalm 19:1-2 ESV)

Many today will get to experience a total solar eclipse. I have seen a few of these in my lifetime and it never ceases to provide such a display of the handiwork and glory of God. God set every planet in motion and orchestrates a dance in the heavens daily. How can we not look up today and be amazed at God!?

Now scientist will try to explain away God and point to the Big Bang and the many nuisances of a scientific explanation for the natural order. That each of these happened by chance along with our very existence. The odds are incalculable. Why can’t we just look upon ourselves, nature and the movement of the planets and be amazed by God?

When we begin to understand and truly believe that God is in and through all things we begin to recognize more than a natural order. We begin to see the divine workings of God in every little thing. So that when we come upon really big things, like a solar eclipse, we can see God’s hands in motion.
