How Deep

6 but when they had grazed,[a] they became full,
    they were filled, and their heart was lifted up;
    therefore they forgot me. (Hosea 13:6 ESV)

When times are good do you tend to forget about God?

It is easy to do. Things are going along swimmingly, times are good, money is plenty and we are healthy. Our prayers become less and less, becasue we are no longer praying for our needs we tend to forget to praise God for what He has and is doing for us.

Maybe we read less of our Bible or go to church less often. We lull ourselves into thinking that life is good and will continue to be so from now on. But nothing last forever. Not the bad times, nor the good times. Everything comes in seasons.

We must not allow complacency into our faith lives. We must continue to study scripture, attend church, thank God in prayer. We must continue to live a deep life of faith no matter what is happening in life. It is no different than walking away from God when a deep hurt comes into our lives. In both cases we either blame God or forget Him.

Consider the depth of your walk and how it fairs both the good times and the bad.
