Gaps

11 Therefore, because you trample on the poor
and exact a grain tax from him,
you will never live in the houses of cut stone
you have built;
you will never drink the wine
from the lush vineyards
you have planted. (Amos 5:11 CSB)

I think we can all agree that there is a great disparity within the world. I could isolate that comment to America, but let’s be honest, it is everywhere. There are the have’s and the have not’s no matter where you go. And the have’s want to give up little for the have not’s.

But this exist within every societal class. No matter what level you live at there is disparity, we just recognize the gap as so broad between the upper and lower classes more because it gets broader every day.

Too often we see the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer and the burden is placed in the middle. But no matter how great the disparity when we get to heaven the balances get leveled. Not for a mere lifetime but for all eternity. Those who have wanted all their lives, but have remained faithful, will be rewarded with mansions in heaven.

So consider less what you may have today and the disparity in the world and look to what awaits us all in heaven. These gaps will no longer exist, and know that even the simplest of rooms in heaven is beyond our wildest dreams.
