45 “Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ (Matthew 25:45 CSB)
How often are we given the chance to help another?
I tell you, I think that it is far more often than we realize or recognize.
If we are walking a right path with God, there are many divine appointments put in our path on a regular basis. Whether it is the opportunity to help another or to simply be the type of person that, due to our visible faith, others can turn to in times of need. And visible faith requires very little to be seen.
This may be a simple as turning a compassionate ear to a coworker who just needs to talk. Or it can be as important as giving sacrificially to a humanitarian cause that helps others on the other side of the globe.
Expanding these opportunities is as easy as being open to them. Asking God to send people your way or being open to giving of ourselves in some other way God directs.
I never see this more than when I am wearing my ministry vest while riding. Every gas stop brings an opportunity for someone to reach out or for me to reach out to others. It becomes a signpost for others to be drawn to and is something I love about this part of my ministry.
But we do not have to put something on to do good. We can look for it in our every day life.
