18 Without revelation people run wild,
but one who follows divine instruction will be happy. (Proverbs 29:18 CSB)
Let’s be honest, in the world today people don’t need much reason to run wild.
Typically, however, as we grow older we gain some level of self control and at the very least are less prone to this. Knowledge applied becomes wisdom and this wisdom gained through trial and error sets boundaries.
But what if we could avoid all the pain of running amok to begin with?
Faith in Christ opens our minds to the deeper wisdom of scripture. It provides revelation that in turn expands wisdom.
It can truly be said that pretty much anything we want direction on can be found in one of two places; scripture or through prayer. Through both God provides us divine instruction and can lead us to a happy and secure life. Where neither exist we see lives wrecked from running wild.
I do believe I can relate back to every major injury in my life came from running wild; physically, mentally and emotionally.
