Sunday Reflection: The Natural and The Spiritual

Do you ever sit and wonder what we will be back after the resurrection? Today, as we consider Jesus resurrection we should think toward our own. We should thank God for our time here on earth and thank Him for our coming time in heaven.

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (1 Corinthians 15:42-44 NKJV)

Most do not take much time to consider death and resurrection except for around Easter. Even then we tend to only think about it in relation to Christ death and resurrection. When it comes to our own we may tend to shy away from that consideration. But we need to take time to check how we are living now and consider how we will be living then. Whether we taste death before the second coming and resurrection, we will all be raised up together on that day. Our bodies will be changed from corruptible to incorruptible, from weakness to strength. There is a natural body and a spiritual body and we will have both.

Reflect on: The natural body and the spiritual body we are to have. In that day they will be one and the same.
