    and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,^[a]
    and to walk humbly with your God? (Mica 6:8 ESV)

Our scripture today gives us God’s definition for living a good, successful life. If we have this, why are we always seeking after something more?

Everyone defines success in different ways. To many it is about fame, position, status or wealth. To others it is about living well, or living simply, maybe it is about being healthy. Whatever your definition, know that God defines it very differently.

God desires that we do right in His eyes and seek Him first. That we pray and seek kindness in every situation. We walk humbly, with God, and are not self-serving or selfish. God’s definition of success is about what we do for Him and for others more than what we do for ourselves. His definition also includes a personal relationship with Christ, something that should be at the top of our success list.
