9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Revelations 7:9-10 ESV)
If you ever wonder about those who make it into heaven just consider these verses, “a great multitude that no one could number.” Note though that this does not say, “everyone.” No, some will not make that cut and even less if we do not do our job.
It is too easy to get hung up in all of our problems and busyness to even consider others. We go about our day passing people who may or may not be in that multitude, and that should bother us.
But it really probably doesn’t.
No we are caught up in us and really do not consider those we come in contact with all that much. And maybe you do not think it is the right place or time to talk about Jesus. This is why we must show others Jesus love and make them curious why we are the way we are so they will ask. Being joyous and happy all the time may be difficult. Everyone has a bad day. But even on our worst day, showing love to others will lift our spirit as well. There is no bad time to be kind and loving.
Thus, we need to consider the opportunities missed with those around us each moment of each and every day.
