Sent This Day

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:17 CSB)

We celebrate the birth of Christ today and my wish for everyone this day is peace and salvation.

Though we know that this world is fallen and peace may be elusive, salvation is not.

Too many see God as the former, come to condemn us. But nothing is further from the truth. Yes, God’s Spirit may convict us of our sinful nature, but conviction is not condemnation.

God is love and on this day more than any other during the year, we celebrate that love sent in human form.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.(Luke 2:11-14 KJ)
