Great Things

Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you. I will praise your name,
for you have accomplished wonders,
plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness. (Isaiah 25:1 CSB)

Do you ever feel like your life is just running along and you are just trying to keep pace?

And maybe you even feel you are falling behind.

Well, plans were formed for you long ago, with perfect faithfulness.

As look forward to Christmas morning we should consider what God had in store for a baby born in a manger. From the lowliness of this beginning, God built the salvation of the world.

With us too, God has great plans. Plans to accomplish wonders that we have not conceived of in our human minds. Plans for us that create divine opportunities throughout our lives. Plans within our families, with our friends and through our work. God has great things in mind, even if we are in a lowly place today. Maybe even because we are in a lowly place.

One does not have to be a captain of industry or a missionary to have a great impact upon this world.

Thus, we should take this time to thank God for whatever our current state might be and know He has great things in store.
