5 For freedom, Christ set us free. Stand firm then and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:! CSB)

When we come to Christ we throw off the yoke of slavery to sin. This does not mean that we will no longer sin, but that we are no longer slaves to sin. Thus, why would we willingly put the yoke back in place. Yet, we tend to do so over and over agin.

We will never get to a point of not sinning while we are on this earth. However, we do not have to put the yoke willingly. We can fight against our sinful nature and work daily to stay in the Word and ask to keep our sins ever before our eyes.

Regardless of what you believe, just think of how much better this world would be if we could only keep this thought in mind. Ever watchful of our sins….
