12 we encouraged, comforted, and implored each one of you to live worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory. (1 Thessalonians 2:12 CSB)
I think we all want to leave worthy lives. We may have different motivations for that, family, friends, work, faith, but few want to live a lesser life.
So going on this assumption, we must ask ourselves, “What is a worthy life?’
Some would believe that it is a successful life. Other would say it was a life where they had a strong and together family. Others may see it as some great achievement.
However, all these things go away in the end. It is not that we should not strive for achievements, a strong family and significance. However, in the end it is what we have done that has eternal implications that will gauge our lives. Nothing we can do alone will make us worthy, but one came to make us worthy and gave us a spirit to live out that worth.
