8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye. (Psalm 32:8 NKJV)
I expect we all feel a bit lost and aimless in life from time to time. It is natural, and we can sometimes go through complete seasons where this is a real problem in our lives. A thing that drags us down and keeps us on the fence about what to do, where to turn, how to proceed and what life eve means any more.
At times, God wants us in this state. He is looking for us to give up and finally turn to Him for our answers. He is not being cruel, He is being a loving Father who wants the best for us, but He knows we need to go through this time of searching to stop relying solely upon ourselves.
The good news, if this is where you find yourself, is that scripture provides us a promise. God says, “I will guide you with My eye”. Meaning, His presence and direction for our lives never leaves, we just need to be patient and wait expectantly on where He is leading.
Reflect on: Your knowledge of the promises God has given us through scripture. Often our angst comes from not knowing what scripture really shows us about God.
The Way You Should Go
