What You Allow, You Accept

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4 NKJV)

Remember, these scriptures were written 2000 years ago, yet what was happening then is still happening now, maybe just accelerated by social media and the media in general. The god, little g, of this age, our enemy, seeks to continually deceive everyone.

Many continue to trade convenient lies for truth. In a conversation this week, the person I was talking to said, “there is no courage any more.” They were speaking about Christian courage to speak up, and the way I say that is this: what you allow, you accept. We need to stop accepting everything in name of tolerance. Now, there must be love in how we respond, be respond we should or the god of this age wins.

Luckily, the god of this age may be winning battles, but we already know who wins the war. But the battles are getting more and more difficult to fight. There have been wins for us in recent years. We have clawed back some of our Christian values and been allowed once again to stand on that ground. But the fight is not over.

Reflect on: What you allow. Are you simply accepting it now?
