Have you ever woken up tired? The alarm was a hard taskmaster this morning. I am wondering if it is this oppressive summer heat causing me to be so tired. Or it could be seasonal allergies getting to me, whatever the cause the day waits for no man and I must get at it. I am really hoping that the coffee kicks in quickly so I can get on with my day!

We often say that “the Lord will never put more on you than you can handle”, but I do not believe that. I think He in fact does give us more than we can handle to make sure that we learn to rely upon Him. Regardless of our responsibilities, we can rest assured that when we team with God that the yoke will be easy and the burden light, because God is shouldering it with us.

He give us the kind of rest that the world cannot give. We may be tired because of external factors. But internally we can be a wellspring of hope and energy.
