The Fragrance of Christ

14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us [a]diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. (2 Corinthians 2:!4-15 NKJV)

Do you realize that you are the fragrance of Christ to this world?

That is a bold statement, seeing how many of us live. However, that is what we are called to be, the fragrance of Christ to both the living and the dead? But who are the living and the dead? Well, the living are those who too should be being the fragrance of Christ. We may need to mentor other Christians and show them love and grace. The dead are those who have not come to Christ saving grace. We need to show them daily that to live in Christ is to be different, to live different.

I used to use an analogy about riding my motorcycles. Now I make the same analogy about riding my mountain bikes. When I ride after a long stressful week, it feels like the stress and worries trail off of me over the miles I ride, until I can feel the stresses drain from me. It is like a dark vapor that gradually lightens as I go.

Much in the same ay, we need to bring a lightness and loving kindness to those around us so that they may come to know living differently.

Reflect on: What you do each day for others to sense Christ fragrance on you.
