The Lord is always there, always working on our behalf. But how do we reconcile this when the season we are living in is one of difficulty or hardship?
17 The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV)
This is truly a dilemma that all Christians face. This is especially hard when we watch a loved one struggle constantly in life and we can do nothing to help to improve their situation. At least when it is our dilemma we can live purposefully upon the promises of God and have faith. We can read scripture like our’s today and feel uplifted.
There is a reliance upon God that we must learn to foster and believe in. The world and the enemy can heap heartache upon heartache, and if we do not learn to simply rest in the arms of The Father, we can quickly feel defeated and become disheartened. It is a continual focus and reliance upon God while doing our best that will see us through.
Reflect on: God’s fulfilled promises to you and how He is working in others lives. How ca you help point this out to others struggling through hard times?
