What You Have

11 but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have. 12 For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have. (2 Corinthians 8:10-11 NKJV)

Never enough. That seems to be the mantra of this world. We never have enough. Enough to spend, enough to save, enough to give, it is just more, more, more.

God wants you as you are. His desire for you is that you do with what you have and do not wait until you have more or are more to come to Him. God also wants you to give from what you have. He will equip you in what ever you may be short in, funds, wisdom, capability. He gives richly to all who have need.

Thus in our scripture today we see some key phrases; a readiness to desire it; completion out of what you have; according to what one has; not according to what he does not have. God is not looking for more. He is looking for you, just the way you are with what you have.

Reflect on: Are you giving richly of what you have, be it time, talent or treasure? You already have what you need.
