29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, (Acts 4:29 NKJV)
Boldness is not something that necessarily comes easily to people. It may be that their personality is more meek, or it could be that they are more introverted. Additionally, especially when it comes to things religious in nature, society has conditioned us to not speak about it openly. Thus, one must have boldness if they are to speak about Christ.
So if you are not bold, where does it come from?
The Spirit will provide boldness when needed, but we must be prepared for Him to act. He will not force us to boldness, but with prayer and an openness to guidance, He can bring out a boldness that we did not know we possessed. God will also provide openings for us to be bold in speaking of our faith. Those around us will see how we live our lives if we live it to God. But we must be bold and be willing to take divine opportunities God puts before us.
Reflect on: Your willingness to speak boldly about your faith and God. Look for those divine opportunities to tell others about His grace and mercy.
