4 Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day. (Psalm 25:4-5 NKJV)
We may well read this scripture and be totally onboard. Show me your ways; Teach me your paths; Lead me; Teach me; you are my salvation!
Wait; I have to wait?
Yea, we read all of our scripture and then are told we will have to wait on God, and we are not patient people are we? Many prayers require us to wait on God’s timing. Many require God to intervene in ways that take time. But we want our prayers answered now, not later. So, we become impatient with God and start making changes or moves to put our prayers into motion. We figure that if He will not move we will and in doing so we may well miss His blessings.
It is like asking God for patience and Him giving us more opportunities to be patient. God’s plans do not always line up with how we want Him to respond. But understand that in all of this He is trying to teach us something.
Reflect on: Your ability to wait on God and what He is teaching you.
