A Time To Celebrate

15 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. (1 Timothy 1:15 ESV)

As I sit writing this today, in front of me sits a simple cup of coffee, my Bible, small journal and a book of prayer. The house is quiet, no one is yet awake aside me and I am enjoying the silence an solitude of a beautiful Christmas morning. I am taking time before the clamor of the day to celebrate the birth of our Savior, thanking God that He sent His one and only Son out of His great love for us all.

Today we need to celebrate that birth and what it means to us. It is easy to get wrapped up on the presents (pun intended) and make Christmas less about Christ and more about material things. To get so sidetracked by Santa’s coming than Christ. Now too is a great time to begin thinking about how you want to live the new year and what changes you need to make to put Christ first and celebrate His birth every day.

Merry Christmas!
