Another very distracting week. They seem to string together this time of the year. The days get short, time seems to run out on a lot of projects I have in the queue. Holidays come at us quickly and it can feel like we are simply juggling a bunch of competing priorities.
8 I have set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. (Psalm 16:8 ESV)
It is in these times where we need to set the Lord always before us. We need Him to be paramount in our minds and our actions so that we do not end the year wrung out as so often happens. Wrung out, becomes strung out and we find ourselves frazzled and shaken. But we see in our scripture that if God is at our right hand, we shall not be shaken. As I said in my last devotion, He has to be our Rock and firm foundation.
Reflect On: What this time of year does to you and how you might refocus on God. Set Him before you.
