Do we see scripture as something that can revive us?

Probably not, although there may be some who see and read scripture in this way. There have been times in my life where it was exactly that. Something I used to revive myself and bring new light into my life. This is especially true for most of us when we are experiencing affliction.

However, scripture should be something we use to renew and revive us. The guidance contained within the Bible provide God’s word for our lives. It provides insight and reason for reflection. It builds a construct for living a good life. In desperate times it can be something to cling to when all else fails us.
