27 Only let your manner of life be worthy[a] of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, (Philippians 1:27 ESV)
Yesterday we talked about our faith walk being a moment by moment and day by day activity. Focusing upon this will lead us to a life that is worthy of Christ. No, we will not always do right, we will still sin because we are human. But if we are in a continual state of mindfulness of Christ then it becomes very hard to do so.
The problem we have with the human condition is that we can often see our sinfulness coming and we still commit the sin. The human condition of being sinful individuals pushes us to do what we want when we want and the enemy provides every opportunity to do so. This is why living a worthy life requires standing firm in the spirit and striving for the faith of the gospel.
Reflect on: Habits or sins that continue to manifest in your life and what you are doing, preemptively, to avoid them.
