¹⁶ Then the king commanded, and Daniel was brought and cast into the den of lions. The king declared^[a] to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, deliver you!” (Daniel 6:16 ESV)

Has your faith been an inspiration to someone else?

The king had made a decree that put him in a bind. He really liked Daniel and he allowed the political around him to nudge him into making statements that put his trusted servant in great peril. But he had also seen how steadfast Daniel’s faith was and he fully expected Daniel’s god to save him.

This is an abject lesson in how our actions and our professions of faith can impact others. It can inspire them to great respect, admiration or can put us in harms way. Regardless of what a faith that is strong and on display does, we can rest assured that God is with us no matter what. He may not be saving us from the lions den, but He may be doing great things in our lives and the lives of others through us.
