Do you ever experience creeping doubt? It starts with an innocent question that creeps into our minds and grows and grows. This creeping doubt, I believe is nothing more than the enemy sowing seeds of doubt in us and then watering it into an outright fear.
10 fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 ESV)
I have said many times that we, as believers, lay our problems at Christ feet, then as humans we slide back in and pick them up again. We can’t seem to just let them go to give Christ space to work on our behalf.
A practice I have fostered over the years is to offer up my doubts to Christ then to sleep on them for a few days. Before I let these doubts grow I give them some time for Christ to work on them and for Him to strengthen me. I practiced this method this week and by the end of the week Christ had given me an answer to my doubts.
Reflect on: How you deal with doubts. Do you let them fester within you or give them to Christ to do with as He pleases?
