¹⁵ … “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand;^[a] repent and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:15 ESV)

I was having a bit of a theological discussion yesterday with a few people over lunch. The discussion ranged far and wide, but at one point I mentioned that I really thought that Jesus would return soon.

When you say something like this, and I am sure since the time of our scripture passage it has been said man times, reactions are unique. Most ask why you might believe this. Some may agree while others may sit quietly not saying much. Is there hope or fear behind the comments or the lack there of? Maybe a bit of both.

There are just a lot of things happening right now that seem to point to the birth pains Jesus spoke of. But no one can know, so that is why we must always be prepared and always consider what we are doing at every moment and ask ourselves how would Jesus respond if He came back that very moment?
