33 “No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. (Luke 11:33 ESV)
Have you been hiding your light?
You may not think so, but it is a fair question. Once you found faith in Christ and came to His saving grace, have you allowed Him to shine through your life? In other words, do people recognize the light lit within you at your conversion or have you hidden it?
Look, this is not a condemnation. It can be difficult in this day and time to shine our Christian light as brightly as we should. We may feel, based upon our position, we cannot be too overtly Christian. But I ask you, if you will not shine His light now, when? If you cannot where you are, where do you need to be? Or, better yet, is the Spirit giving you the opportunity to shine where you are regardless of the circumstances?
Christ did not say it would be easy, He only pointed to the rewards of letting His light shine brightly through us.
Reflect on: Would others say the light of Christ shines through you? Assess your life and see if you might be hiding it in some way.
