25 Let your eyes look directly forward,
    and your gaze be straight before you. (Proverbs 4:25 ESV)

How easily we humans are distracted. Consider the word though. What truly is distraction but dis-trac-tion. We lose our traction. We are moving forward and suddenly we are distracted and lose traction or our forward momentum.

The Lord knew this and spoke often in scripture about how the enemy will distract us. We can be headed down the right path with God, in His plan, and suddenly we get distracted and are off course. We are focused on our pleasure and our desires and not God’s!

The enemy has so much to distract us with today. In our pocket we have the entire world at our fingertips. A tool that could be used for so much good ends up being a constant distraction. I truly believe that our phones are our greatest downfall. They pull us away from God, family, work, everything that is good in our lives.
