¹⁴ And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. (Colossians 3:14 ESV)

How does today’s scripture play out in your life? How are you seeking to bind things together and live in harmony? Love must play a part in this, otherwise we do it for the wrong reasons.

It may seem an odd concept to “put on love”, however, it is such an apt and perfect metaphor for how we must live. Much like we need to put on the armor of God to protect ourselves, we should put on love to encourage and lift others up.

When we face our day with this in mind how can we not fulfill God’s plan for our lives. It is so very difficult to sin or go astray when we are actively putting on love, especially when we must because our love is insufficient for the day at hand. Putting this on opens us up to so much more.
