20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20 ESV)
Consider just how personal the statement above truly is. Christ gave Himself for you. His life. He loved you so much that He did that. He gave everything.
So why is it that you would not want to live life in Christ who’s life is in you?
We often read scripture with a very third person view. We do not insert ourselves wholly into the words God revealed there. The scriptures are a love letter to each of us. It is God pouring out Him self for us in the sacrifice of Christ and into us in the Spirit He sends to live within us.
I have recently been reading a book about near death experiences. The one thread that runs throughout these experiences is just how intensely personal Christ makes each interaction. God may have done this for all humanity, but He desires a personal, one-on-one relationship we everyone.
Reflect on: Just how personal your relationship with Christ seems and what you need to do to make it more personal.
