18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened. (Psalms 66:18 ESV)
Do you sometimes doubt your faith?
I think we all go through periods where we might. The enemy sows seeds of doubt, especially around faith matters. He also is the father of condemnation. He will do everything in his power to make us doubt ourselves, to doubt our faith and even to doubt God.
But God is ever there.
It may also be that we are harboring some form of willful sin and as such God may not be listening. He has not abandoned us, but He is looking for us to change our ways before He acts on our behalf.
In the Old Testament the Jewish people had to bring an unblemished animal to the priest for it to be slaughtered for their sins. Why did they need an unblemished animal? It was a symbol of something pure being given to atone for the blemish of our sins. Just as Jesus, the unblemished one, came and died for the blemish of our sins.
Reflect on: If you are harboring any willful sin and how you can rid your life of its blemish.
