³⁵ By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35 ESV)

Do you believe that others see you as a disciple of Jesus through your talk and your actions? Is your first reaction to show love to others?

Boy, this world can really challenge that last question. There are so many times when we do not feel love from others and it is hard to show love toward them. But Jesus encountered the exact same response from others. In fact, He did in much greater measure. But He still loved them all. So much so He gave His life so that we all might have eternal life.

Let’s face it, we are not always lovable. We are rude. We are frustrating. We can be demanding. We are human. So we need to see in others that which we too can be and love regardless. We need to love in greater measure.
