²⁸ so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:28 ESV)

So Christ work on the cross dealt with sin, we only have to accept His sacrifice. That part of the work is done.

His second coming will be not to deal with sin but to bring those who have accepted Him home. For those who have accepted this is great hope. For those still dead in sin this should be great horror. This is why Christ is delaying His return so that as many as will have a chance at salvation.

But time is short. Time is speeding up and we need to be about the Lord’s work so that none may perish but all may have everlasting life. I speak this word unabashedly because all need to hear. My readership may be small, but if only one hears and comes to Christ then I have done my job.
