56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:56-67 ESV)
We know that there is nothing we can do to make us good enough to enter heaven. There is no law we can folllow adequately, no rule of life to make us right. Only the free gift of the loving sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ death on a cross gives us any victory over sin.
But there is much that sacrifice should make us desire to do. There is much in this life God has laid out for our unique path to fulfill His will. Additionally, we all have the same job of spreading Jesus’ Good News of salvation to all who will listen.
There is much to experience in this life, but be sure to understand that God wants us to not just enjoy the pleasures it brings. No, He has work for us to do beyond our jobs that we must be about.
