10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11 ESV)
We have a great opportunity to help convey the Good News of Christ salvation. Through our words and deeds we can show, daily, what the Lord had done in and through our lives. Nothing that God does in and through us will return empty. Whether in our lives, the lives of our family or those we touch in this world, the Holy Spirit’s work within us will account for something in God’s plan.
God uses every element of how we live to convey His message. It may not seem this way, but every Christian’s life can be a message board to God’s loving grace. Too often we see our part as small and we diminish any possible role in our insecurity. We may not be pillars of faith, but we can be just as impactful by living a faith filled life.
Reflect on: How, simply by living a strong faith filled life, you keep the word from coming back empty.
