28 When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.”29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” 30 And their eyes were opened. (Matthew 9:28-30a ESV)
Do we have the faith to say, “Yes, Lord. And open our eyes”?
Strong faith means that we pray to Jesus and walk away expecting that God will do a work on our behalf. I say, do a work, because the right thing in His eyes may be a “Yes, Not right now or No”. We have to be willing to accept any of these answers on faith.
The blind men simply knew what they had heard about Jesus and believed. Their faith cured their blindness. Our faith often has to cure our blindness too. Our blindness to our actions, our blindness to our weakness, our blindness to the world around us. God says, “Open your eyes”, and go in faith.
Reflect on: What is God trying to get you to open your eyes to?
