29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29 ESV)
There are two interesting designations for Christ in the Bible; The Lamb of God and the Lion of Judah. Such polar opposites. But Christ was a sacrifice (like a lamb) for us at one point and He will return in triumph over death and sin (like a lion).
We have a savior who can understand us so fully and is so loving and one who is also the strongest of leaders who will rule for eternity. Christ is so many things and we should be very thankful He is! He sees us in our desperation and He sees us through our trials. Compassion and command. He fills all the roles for us as we are too weak and sinful to do so on our own.
Reflect on: Christ compassion and command and how that manifest in your life and the life to come.
