⁹ Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. (Deuteronomy 7:9 ESV)

It can be difficult for us to show love continually and we must seek to both keep our selves from willful sin and do right. However, all of these things are the very nature of God. While we may fail many times, God love goes deeper still. He is continually there, continually loving us, his lover never fail.

The fact that God is always there and will ever be on our side should be reassuring. We should take this knowledge and walk through life with our head held high, no matter what may befall us. If God will keep His covenant of love to a thousand generations, then we can be assured that love extends to us.

We have but one task in this, to love Him and keep His commandments. Such deep love should go both ways.
