28 But as for me, God’s presence is my good.

I often find interesting wording or turns of a phrase in the scripture that make me think, today’s is no different. I really like a slight modification that jumped to mind when I read this: God is my good.

God is my good.

That just feels good to say. It especially provides me something to think about today to keep my mind upon God. This is the type of thing that I will use throughout the day to meditate upon. Thinking about just how God is my good and about all the things He does for me throughout my day and throughout my life.

Consider too the other key elements of this line of scripture. God presence is there for me, He is my refuge. Because of all of this I can tell about all He does for me. God IS my good in every way. How empty life would feel without Him.

I got to spend some time this weekend riding and just soaking in the beauty and splendor of God’s creation all around me. This is why I ride more than anything else. It allows me to get out of my head for a while and just enjoy His presence in all that I am experiencing around me.

So when life is getting the better of you today, just think; God is my good.
