28 And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right. (Romans 1:28 CSB)
Aside from just simple belief, there is a worthwhile power in acknowledging God. When you look at your life do you see God’s hand in every aspect? If not, you may not be acknowledging Gods sovereignty and provision in your life. You may believe that you had something to do with anything that has come your way.
Wait a minute, is what I am trying to say that God has a hand in every aspect of our lives and we do nothing!? Yea, I kinda am.
Look, I get it. You have worked hard in your life, strived for more, succeeded, raised a family, acquired things. Did you do all of these things. Sure, on a physical level you and I have. We put in the sweat equity. But I am challenging that if you are a believer you need to acknowledge God’s hand in everything that has happened in your life. He paved the path and made it all work to His good will. Even when we were not necessarily working with Him in mind.
God knows man is a wandering creature. We are close to Him one moment and very distant another. We have times in our lives where we feel in sync with God and times when we walk through deserts seemingly alone. But we never really are. Not as believers. And I do not think even if someone does not believe. I think the Spirit is close to every person just waiting for them to hear the knock upon the door of their souls.
So think about your life today and find the worthwhile nature of acknowledging God in every aspect of it.
