A Powerful Work

29 I labor for this, striving with his strength that works powerfully in me. (Colossians 1:29 CSB)

Can you attest to the fact that Christ is powerfully working within your life?

It may not always be readily visible, but Christ IS always powerfully working within your life. If it were not true we would have no ability to combat the sin in our lives. A powerful work does not necessarily mean that we are powerfully faithful or powerfully working for Christ. But make no mistake He is continually doing a powerful work in your life.

Now, hopefully, this powerful work is creating a powerful desire for you to do something more with your life. We need to be leaders in our families, leaders in our business lives and leaders in our community. Not necessarily leaders in the classical sense, but in the spiritual sense. This so that the powerful work started in us may be continued in others.

I labor for this, as Paul wrote.

When we strive on Christ account we are continually building on others account. We are lifting each other up so that our striving is not in vain. The powerful work begun in Christ, is continued in us and through us brought to others so that it may begin anew.
